Bob Freeman Using Tragedy to Attack Trustee and Firemen

Bob has sunk to a new low.  He is using the tragedy of a teenager drowning to attack the trustee and all county fire departments.  Here are some of his inflammatory statements:

Caused that boy to die?

"Flat out negligence on the part of every single fire department in this county."
"Pure negligence is all it is."
"A 16 year old boy is dead now because of negligence."

You are accusing every single fire department in this county of negligent homicide?  I'm sure they already feel horrible about the incident.  You don't need to make things worse.

"I bet you would be hard pressed to find ONE that wouldn't volunteer to take the training.  Oh, Rodney probably wouldn't, but the real firefighters would.  I take that back. Rodney would even train, if it meant another trip for four to Florida."
"I hope you're proud of yourself Fred Barkes. Spending the money on maintenace buildings and radios and cars for staff that you don't need. Spending the money on raises for yourself and family."

Here he is attacking Rodney Ferrenburg and Fred Barkes, which I believe is the real purpose of the article.

Why does Bob rant and rave about something he knows absolutely nothing about?  And Bob neglects to mention that if he were the trustee, the $6000 would not have been spent on training and equipment for cold water rescue.  It would have been spent on poor relief.

That's the story we had on here about how Sandra Barkes, office manager and wife of the trustee, reportedly went to a funeral acting stupid.
She reportedly went to a funeral that the trustee paid for and asked mourners there why they didn't pay for it and she reportedy announced to everyone there that she was there to make sure the family got what the trustee's office paid for.
In the comments that followed that story, I said that someone should have knocked her on her ass when she did it. And I stand by that opinion.

Notice Bob says "reportedly" and then says "when she did it".

"I was accused by the idiots of inciting violence. How do you incite violence at an event that happened 6 months ago? And if someone had knocked her on her ass, as I feel they should have done, wouldn't SHE be the one inciting the violence by acting a fool at a funeral?"

So Bob, since you always act like a fool, does that mean everyone has a right to "knock you on your ass" at any time?

Michelle's Last Post on Columbuzz

This is my last post on this website. I am DONE. I happened upon this website and stuck around because the article I was reading had some good points and I enjoyed the debate regarding those issues. Then the story took a turn and people were allowed to post things that were cruel and had nothing to do with the initial story itself. I did begin posting at that time. I questioned why someone would allow posts to be printed when they were in such bad taste. Bob and I had some great banter in the beginning. I began reading other stories and noticed that those too had some statements that took away from the original topic.

That very much concerns me. There are attacks on here that should not be. There are things on here that are hurtful and damaging to people, that is not what I thought this website was about .

I am now met with hostility and accusations. For the record I AM NOT MERCMAN, CHARLIE TOWNSEND OR DUDE. I did not even now they existed until you and Lucy began accusing me of being them. I have googled the website and found it very easily and have spent time reading it as well. I am now more concerned then I was at the lack of common human decency on this site. It appears that these personal attacks on people have been going on for some time and I for one refuse to be a part of it.

Thanks Lucy for your recommendation and I will be leaving this site. It looks like Dude got another follower !!!! At least his blog does not pretend to be something it is not.
