Say What?

http://columbuzz.net/index.php?news=6049

I can only assume that this was written by Jeremy since it is mostly incomprehensible.  Jeremy, you desperately need to swallow your pride and ask someone to proofread your "articles" before you post them, instead of constantly embarrassing yourself.

And stop whining about advertisers leaving columbuzz.  If you ran your site responsibly, then there wouldn't be any issues with your advertisers.  But you don't, so businesses can choose to pull their ads, especially if advertising on columbuzz causes them to start losing customers.

Jeremy wrote: "We allow advertising on Columbuzz (for free) to anyone, if one chooses to advertise here it shouldn't be anyone business. Choosing to visit, or use the services provide is optional to you the visitor. Everyone loves free advertising"

So Jeremy, if the KKK offered to advertise columbuzz for free on their website, would you accept their offer?  How about the American Nazi Party?  Do you think it would be a good idea for columbuzz to be associated with these groups?  I'll bet there are very few legitimate businesses in Columbus that would like to be associated with columbuzz.

Jeremy, you really have absolutely no clue on how to run a website, do you? You just don't get it, and you probably never will. Remember when you were a kid and your parents told you that you could do anything you put your mind to? In your case, they were lying.

And Jeremy, do you understand that many people, including myself, will avoid any business that advertises on columbuzz? If someone is trying to successfully run a business in this bad economy, do you think it's a good business decision for him to alienate many of his customers?

Everyone loves free advertising. It's the fear of persecution that prevents the open forum.
Yes, businesses love free advertising but only when it will help their business. Being associated with a site where Bob Freeman is allowed to put nasty pictures of a holes and cuss and tear down others will not help them. I did not write the email or make calls but I am very glad someone did. When owners and managers are offered an opportunity for free advertising, usually they are happy as the cost of paying for it can be expensive. Unfortunately many of them probably only did a brief glance of the actual site and mainly paid attention to their ad. I am glad someone brought it to their attention that they are associated with such a site. I only hope the rest do as well….

One thing I don't understand is why Jeremy even cares if he has advertisers or not, since the ads are free anyway.

By the way, Jeremy, it's you, Herman, and Bob who prevent the open forum with the fear of persecution.
