Columbuzz: Web Tabloid

From http://entertainment.howstuffworks.com/tabloid.htm/printable:

"The key to tabloid story writing is that something doesn't have to be true to print -- someone just has to have said that it was true. Writers can bring in sources and experts to confirm just about anything. They will use leading questions to get a 'money quote' from a source, or offer up the quote themselves and use it as long as the source agrees with them."

Bob vs. The Internet

Bob/Jeremy/Herman wrote on columbuzz:
"Sorry 'Ann', you're outta here....
projecthoneypot.org
192.251.226.205
The Project Honey Pot system has detected behavior from the IP address consistent with that of a comment spammer.
We've reported some other data associated with this IP. This interrelated data helps map spammers' networks and aids in law enforcement efforts."

Obviously, the stooges at columbuzz don't understand anonymous internet communication.

Bob vs Bob 3.0

Bob #1:
"And I believe Fred (Barkes) has a good heart and loves his family."

Bob #2:
"Fred Barkes is an incompetent turd. repeat, an INCOMPETENT TURD."
"And I will not leave Barkes alone. He is a crook"
"Oh no, I believe he (Fred Barkes) IS an idiot and they ARE monsters."
"Why don't they simply stop being rude, condescending monsters?"
"And these monsters are in charge of our system?"
"What an idiot."

Bob's Thanksgiving Message

"Bob, Jeremy, Herman, Cindy, Leon, and the entire staff at Columbuzz.net would like to wish each and every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving.  We're thankful for your visits here and your participation in our discussions.  We are building a small community of people who want their views expressed and that has been our goal from the beginning.  We hope that you have a safe and joyous holiday weekend...."

They are not thankful for my visits and participation in their discussions, I can tell you that. And they are definitely building a small community, that's for sure. Tiny, minuscule, mostly consisting of Bob-o-bots.

Bob is Now Faking Comments on Columbuzz

Comment on columbuzz:

"Kim on 24 November, 2010 10:03:01
Columbuzz is great! I love this website."

I submitted this comment and this is not what I wrote.  I would guess that all of the positive comments on columbuzz are faked, but that's just my opinion.

Columbuzz is Still a Total Joke

http://columbus1.ath.cx/index.php?news=5176

I think they need to get new informants.  It's probably the same informant that gave them bogus info on the trustee.

Bob vs Bob 2.0

Bob #1: "It's only posted for discussion, not to cut anyone down."

Bob #2: "A convicted child molester could have run as a Republican and got elected this time. I would bet several were, nationwide. Like being a Republican, you don't need to know anything about what you worship in order to call yourself a member. Raise your right hand and say you believe. "Hal le lu yah Brother, I is a memba!!! Thank God Almighty!" One reason why so many Republicans are Christians and why so many Christians are Republicans; it's easy to belong. No hard work studying who you worship and vote for. No knowledge of the person is needed. Simply vote as your masters tell you to vote. Blindly belong and blindly follow. 'Time to vote? Where's that thar votin' lever?' Cha ching! 'Oops, I left my readin' glasses at home. Oh, I just need that thar lever. I don't need to read who I'm votin' fer.' Cha ching! I think this is one reason the KKK got so popular back in the day; the days before proper education. And I am a caring, giving, understanding person who is a bit bitter over stupid, lazy people. Meaning people too stupid to vote for the person instead of the party, and others who are too lazy to go vote. Fred Barkes is an incompetent turd. repeat, and INCOMPETENT TURD. I was calling people who vote for people simply because of their party stupid, and those who sit on their *** and don't vote, lazy. Idiots like that are why our country is like it is."

Translation: No, I'm not cutting anyone down, except for Republicans, Christians, and Fred Barkes.

Bob is Still Delusional Part 2

More delusions from Bob:

"And I am a caring, giving, understanding person who is a bit bitter over stupid, lazy people. Meaning people too stupid to vote for the person instead of the party, and others who are too lazy to go vote."

Caring and understanding!?! Maybe towards a select few, but not towards Christians, Republicans, Barkes family members, anyone in the Trustee office, firefighters, EMS workers, etc. And yet another attack on the "stupid, lazy" voters. Bob, you just don't get it. You are the stupid one, not the voters. I just don't understand why you think you are so smart. If you were half as smart as you think you are, you would have won a Nobel Prize in physics by now.

Bob is Still Delusional

Bob is still at it on columbuzz:

"It seems that around Columbus, stating facts and truth about someone is attacking that someone. We all learned that during my campaign."

What facts and truth did you state during the campaign? We're still waiting for any facts or truth. And when I state facts and truth about columbuzz, you think I'm attacking columbuzz. So why doesn't it work both ways?

"I would guess that half of my opponent's votes were sympathy votes because I was said to be running a 'mudslinging' campaign by simply posting truth and facts."

I would guess you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

"The real problem is, some people have secrets they don't want revealed; that's why they are secrets."

People like you.

"Then you have others who cherish the results produced by keeping those secrets. Be it a job or anything. So they get upset when someone, like us here at Columbuzz, try to show the world what is really going on."

I think you mean you try and fail to show the "world" what is really going on. You have no idea what is really going on. And is Columbus really the entire world?

"And you have others who go to the polls and vote all Republican, no matter what. As long as a good ole boy Republican gets in, who he is or what he is doing wrong to us doesn't matter. A convicted child molester could have run as a Republican and got elected this time. I would bet several were, nationwide. Like being a Republican, you don't need to know anything about what you worship in order to call yourself a member."

I see you're still bitter about the election. Time to bash all Republicans.

"Raise your right hand and say you believe. Blindly belong and blindly follow."

You really shouldn't attack others for being hypocritical when you are one of the most hypocritical people in the world.

"I think this is one reason the KKK got so popular back in the day; the days before proper education. Now THAT might be considered an attack. Not on all Republicans or Christians, but on ignorant people that vote for people for all the wrong reasons."

Time to bash all the voters too. Sorry, but the voters knew exactly what they were doing by denying you public office for the FIFTH time. That's where you and I disagree, Bob. You think the voters are all idiots. I think the people of Columbus are very smart to keep you out of public office.

"I'm only stating my opinion, but the intention of an attack is there."

You mean your uninformed opinion, as usual.

Bob's Delusions

Bob wrote on columbuzz: "A public servant is just that; a servant. The bad ones will change or the bad ones will be gone. Apparently our Trustee condones and encourages this. I think the next step is to line up some of the victims and have them tell their experiences to the county commissioners. Then we'll see what can and needs to be changed. I have a couple of people willing to describe a funeral a few years ago as well. Maybe the commissioners and the newspapers, radio stations, and tv stations would like to see and hear that testimony first hand."

Bob is so delusional that he thinks the newspapers, radio stations, and TV stations would actually care about something that didn't happen a few years ago.  They all have ignored him up to this point.  I guess he's just forever the optimist.

Junior High School Math Lesson For Bob

Bob, I know math is difficult, so I thought I would help you out. Here's an example of calculating percentage increase:

Question:
The trustee was paid $8,000 per year for 20 hours per week 25 years ago. The trustee is now paid $43,260 for around 40 hours per week. What is the percentage increase?

Answer:
$43,260 (current pay) - $16,000 (original pay * 2) = $27,260

$27,260 / $16,000 (original pay) = 1.70

1.70 * 100 = 170% over 25 years

It is NOT 500%!  Either you are lying, or you don't understand junior high school math.  Which is it?

By the way, the average percentage increase per year is 4%. This is a little more difficult to calculate, so once you master percentage increase, let me know and then we can tackle the average per year problem.  As always Bob, I'm here for you to answer any math questions you may have.

Bob the Slanderer

Bob on Facebook:
"I did sign everything I wrote. It was important to my campaign, so I thought.  But now, with threats of slander lawsuits and the like, I will be signing a lot less; probably nothing. Let them try to figure out who wrote what."

What?!  Bob's afraid of a slander lawsuit?!? I thought everything he wrote was TRUTH! By the way Bob, I believe when it's defamation by the written word, it's technically libel, not slander.  And there's an easy way around the problem of figuring out who wrote what. Someone can sue columbuzz, not just you.

"I wrote truth. And when it was verifiable truth, I said so. When it was something I heard, I said it was something I heard."

Bob, is something wrong with your caps lock?  It's TRUTH, remember.  It's not TRUTH unless it's in all caps!

"People don't like the messenger when they don't like the message. So now they can try to figure out who that messenger is."

Bob, most people wouldn't like you regardless of your message.

"We allow anyone to post on Columbuzz.(until they act like buttholes) It is an OPINION website. Everyone has a right to their opinion."

I see Bob is still obsessed with buttholes and still a hypocrite.  Bob's definition of a butthole is someone who disagrees with him and points out his hypocrisy.  So sorry, but columbuzz is NOT an OPINION website.

And can someone explain to me why Pamela Sample still associates with Bob?  She still advertises her insurance agency on columbuzz.net and on columbuzz's Facebook page.  Is she unaware of Bob's disgusting comments on this blog?

Have you tried to create an account on columbuzz lately?  You get the following message:

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED ON COLUMBUZZ.NET

I think something is wrong with registration anyway, since for some strange reason, right after I submit an article, my account is disabled and my article is never posted.  Since they claim that they want people to contribute articles and opinions, it must be a system glitch.  I hope they get it fixed soon!

Columbuzz Blows the Whistle: On a Dog

Columbuzz (on Facebook) has blown the whistle on a rogue St. Bernard that is menacing Columbus by pooping in people's yards!

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=128610240530712&set=a.118804204844649.18331.118776748180728

Of course, every time I read one of Bob's "articles" on columbuzz, I feel like Bob has pooped in my yard.

Bob vs Bob

Bob #1:  "George W. Bush is a dangerous war criminal and should be treated as such."

Bob #2:  "Watching Bush talk about his presidency has impressed me a bit.  When asked how he thinks Obama is doing as president, he said Obama had enough critics and he wasn't going to critique him. I was surprised.  He talked about some regrets too. I might just have to get one of his books."

Or is Bob just pandering to Republican voters for his next pointless run for public office?

Bob and Charlie

Bob better hope Charlie Townsend is Mercman.  Otherwise, Bob could be in a lot of trouble.

Bob wrote:  "I think anyone that has a good revenge trick they want to try out, they should try it out on old Charlie Townsend.  Rat in a box, change his mail to a new address, drive by his house real slow and take pictures, any prank phone calls you've wanted to try, go up to him when he is out to dinner with his wife and say 'hello Mercman', etc....  Now I'm not enciting violence against Charlie or any other woman. I just want you all to think of some fun you can have with him.  You get the idea.  Have fun........  LOL"

Does Bob realize that changing someone's mail to a new address is illegal?  Or is it OK under Bob's Law?  And how exactly is "driving by his house real slow and taking pictures" revenge?  Prank phone calls?  Really?  Is Bob still in elementary school?  Although, I do like the rat in a box idea, but you would need a pretty big box for Bob the rat.

Bob's Daily Rant From Nov. 10

"Congratulations, Republicans, you got another one of your own into office for four more years. You won! Whoopie! Now we all lose again."

No Bob, YOU lose again! For the fifth time! 0-5! cero-cinco!

Out of respect for her husband and her family, I will be sure to be as civil as possible, but the truth will come out.

I guess we'll see how long that lasts, Bob being civil. That's like Randy Moss being humble.

I will report it as I learn it. That’s what Columbuzz is all about.

Really? I thought Columbuzz was all about lies, exaggerations, name calling, censorship, incompetence, paranoia, hypocrisy, delusions, mental illness, poor English, mudslinging, libel, offending voters, narcissism, whining, ignorance, grandstanding, deception, Bob-o-bots, cronyism, intimidation, and math errors. Did I forget anything?

Columbuzz Hacked?

Jeremy wrote on his Facebook page:
"Website was hacked and it has to be rebuilt. It should be back up Thursday night."

Bob wrote on this blog:
"Someone hacked the site and shut it down."

Then Jeremy wrote on Facebook:
"...we was not hacked but rather had a data error in our database."

We was?  I'm glad they didn't jump to conclusions that their website was hacked! Anyone else think Jeremy has no clue what he's doing?

Columbuzz Stuck in Time Warp

Since columbuzz is stuck in a time warp today, here are some classic comments from columbuzz:

Comments on the new comment policy:
Lucy:  "I just hope that the admins hold themselves to these changes 'being slanderous, insulting, racist, belligerent, and more.'"

Jeremy (incompetent admin of columbuzz):  "Being able to assume you know who a poster is solely on the writing styles is one thing, but truly knowing without the poster telling their identity is just speculation.  Since this obviously concerns you and you aren't seeing the bigger picture, maybe you should alter your thinking to see this isn't to prevenr, hinder, single out, prevent comments but to allow the frequent visitors a relationship to the posters as some could have a favorite."

Lucy:  "Well Jeremy...one thing I really dislike is being patronized as you have me in not getting the big picture. Don't play me for stupid. Of course I know why this is being done, and on the contrary doesn't concern me, I was merely giving a great idea on how to keep people to one name, which I guess you don't understand"

Lucy:  "How does the average poster know that the admin won't be using different names?? What assurance do we as posters have??? I know Columbus Man was also Indiana Guy...so why should I trust that you folks who control this board won't use different names, just to keep things going??? I know people who have done that, just for that sole reason...  And who do we complain to if we think and admin person is being a bully or name calling, they don't delete their own posts, but do others...Now, how fair is that??? Pretty one sided..."

Bob (incompetent moderator of columbuzz):  "The average person doesn't know if admin uses more than one name, and they won't know. It doesn't matter. We want to know which posters are saying what so we can control some of the garbage some buttholes want to bring in here."

Lucy:  "Well it does matter. If we can't have more than one name, than why can you guys???  I find that insulting referring to some as buttholes...you're already contradicting your new policy."

Bob:  "Well, when someone comes in for the sole purpose of causing trouble repeatedly, they are a buttholePosters don't need to know what all we do as much as we need to know what all posters do."

Lucy:  "Either you have rules or not regardless. Black and white. You're entitled to your opinion, but in your new rules, insulting will not be tolerated, and you are insulting. I don't care if it's not me, and I'm not defending that individual. I'm very anal to when it comes to rules. If you can call someone a butthole, then I can too....You lead by example...."

Bob:  "I was referring to buttholes. I wasn't calling anyone a buttholeAnd I try to be a great example to anyone that wants to express their true feelings. We just don't allow posters to call each other names."

Lucy:  "'We want to know which posters are saying what so we can control some of the garbage some buttholes want to bring in here.'  In this sentence, what does butthole refer to? It is describing the posters garbage, THESE buttholes bring in here. You can substitute buttholes for posters.  You can say 'We want to know which posters are saying what so we can control some of the garbage some buttholes (posters) want to bring in here'.  Careful how you say things....I would say that is name calling, as in posters who bring in the garbage....they were referred to buttholes, posters are people...And I think we all know who you mean too, as you have referred them as that b4, including a pic and all. Have you not??? Just saying..."

Bob:  "I try to behave as I want the posters to do. It's hard at times when the same POSTER comes in only to try to cause trouble.  I will try to be more careful in the future."

Jeremy:  "I am amazed at the comments this 'RULE' has brought about; this is the problem with our culture, everyone makes a bigger deal out of something so simple.  Move on everyone, whats done is done"

Yes Jeremy, people are going to make a big deal about your hypocrisy!

Bob's Daily Rant

"Finally some peace" wrote on columbuzz:
"So glad the election is over. You ran the dirtiest campaign ever and I'm glad you lost. Serves you right! Now, go live your life and leave the Barkes's alone. I can't stand people like you!!!!"

"Bob The Delusional" wrote:

"Mr. Peace,
I'm glad it's over too. And yes, it was dirty.

I have been exposing TRUTH about the DIRT in that office. All verifiable TRUTH. Yet people like you refused to believe it and you voted for the guy anyway."

Bob still doesn't get it.  Typing TRUTH in all caps doesn't make it TRUTH.

"And I will not leave Barkes alone. He is a crook and he is going to be scrutinized even more from here on out."

More libel.  Where is your PROOF that Mr. Barkes is a crook?  And I mean real PROOF, not Bob PROOF.  And you can't just type PROOF in all caps.  That's not PROOF.

"Difference is, I don't have to worry about offending voters since I'm not running for office."

Bob is definitely an expert at offending voters, I'll give him that.  And he thinks he's 0-5 in elections because he's a Democrat.

"The gloves are off now. He better make sure his secrets are well hidden. Because when I learn them, the whole commnity is going to hear about it."

You mean the gloves were on before?!?  And the "whole" community (Bob must think everyone in the entire county visits his little website), except for the Bob-o-bots, will ignore your insane rantings as usual.

"If you don't want to hear it, I suggest you go elsewhere for your entertainment."

Bob, if you ever want to charge for advertisements on your little website, telling people to go elsewhere is not a good business strategy.

"And your opinion of me matters little to me.  I have been hated by much better. I'm not here for a popularity contest."

Bob's political strategy I guess.  Insult as many voters as possible and then whine when they don't vote for him.

"I'm here to try to let people know that they are being bent over on a daily basis."

Yeah, bent over by you Bob!

"Believe me, I won't lose any sleep over it."

Yes, we are all aware that you have no conscience.

Bob Just Doesn't Understand

Bob wrote in a comment on columbuzz:
"It's funny how my posting a photograph, taken by a handicapped person, of an ambulance parked illegally in a handicap parking spot caused all the accusations."

Since there were no signs identifying is as a handicap parking space, I don't believe it was illegal.

"I have been accused of attacking all EMS workers.

I have been accused of favoring STAT Ambulance because the owner contributed to my campaign for trustee.
"

What do you expect when you call the ambulance driver a nimrod and proclaim that they do whatever they want to do.

"Just like during my campaign, people want to take PROOF of wrongdoing that is provided and turn it around to say that we are attacking people simply by showing the truth. The photograph is real and has not been doctored.

Like the pictures I took of a shredder being negligent. People wanted to ignore that fact and flat out accuse me of misdemeanor trespass.

When I showed PROOF of wasteful spending and negligence in bookeeping on the part of the Fred Barkes and clan, I was accused of slandering them.

When I showed evidence of a rude staff and an office manager that showed her ass at a funeral, I was attacking them.

When evidence of drugs in the trustees house were shown, I was dragging his family through the mud.

Not only was this all ignored, but people actually voted them back in.

I just don't understand it."

And that's why Bob is 0-5 in elections.  He just doesn't understand that most people don't like him and don't trust him.  He doesn't understand that he has no credibility whatsoever.  He doesn't understand that if people really believed him, they would have crossed party lines to vote for him, but obviously that didn't happen.  He just doesn't understand that showing evidence of drugs in the trustee's house had nothing whatsoever to do with the election.  He doesn't understand the difference between FACT and opinion.  He doesn't understand that his PROOF is not PROOF.

"I understand some people getting upset because I was reporting on the trustee's "shenanigans". They are probably related to the trustee so that means they are on his payroll."

Yeah Bob, everyone that opposes you is Mercman, Dude, or people who work in the trustee's office.

"But I have a few jerks that want to attack everything I do, no matter what it is."

That's because pretty much all you do is attack people.  And you're surprised when they fight back?

"Yet it turned into a deal where I was attacking CRH because STAT contributed to my campaign. That isn't true. If I see a STAT vehicle parked in one, their picture will go on as well.  Jason would want to know about it so he could correct the problem."

I have an idea.  If all you want to do is let STAT/CRH know about it, why not just email CRH or STAT the picture and handle it privately, instead of grandstanding by posting the picture immediately .  If they ignore you, then you can post the picture.

Bob's Not Telling the Truth Again

Comments on columbuzz:
"What is the other website?"

Bob: "We won't advertise for their site.  All they do is trash people on this site and we have no use for them."

All columbuzz does is trash the good people at CRH and the trustee's office.  And somebody has to expose the "shenanigans" going on over at columbuzz.  It might as well be me.

"That's why they were banned from here."

And yet I have not banned any of them from my site even though I have no use for them.  With Bob's disgusting comments on here, he deserves to be banned.

"It's 2 or 3 people that post under anonymous or other phony names to make it look like they have several coming there."

Bob's not telling the truth again.  He knows for a fact there's quite a bit more than 2 or 3 people here.  In my opinion, he's afraid to tell anyone about this site, because then people will see the real Bob Freeman from his comments.

Bob The Proud Democrat

Warning:  This post contains adult language.  Reader discretion is advised.

From the Democratic Party Platform:
"We will work to combat violence against women.  We believe that standing up for our country means standing up against sexism and all intolerance. Demeaning portrayals of women cheapen our debates, dampen the dreams of our daughters, and deny us the contributions of too many. Responsibility lies with us all."

From Bob:
"I'm a proud Democrat."

More from Bob:
"She should think twice before going into a funeral I am attending. You want to see a scene. Being a cunt might be okay for some of you but I won't tolerate it."

"Your mother should be glad she didn't come to my dad's funeral like that. She would have been removed from the building abruptly."

"Someone should have knocked her on her ass right there and then."

"Someone should have knocked her on her ass for the way she acted with the mourners at a funeral."

"She's acted like a cunt that should have been knocked on her ass, in my opinion."

"Woman or not, she should have been knocked on her ass for what she did."

"And if a woman has the gall to go somewhere and act like that, woman or not, she should have been knocked on her ass."

"I said that if she had done that at a funeral of a member of my family she would have been knocked on her ass."

STAT Ambulance Stuck Under Awning?

Bob, Bob, Bob

More deception from Bob on columbuzz:

"Look at this article. It is a picture of an ambulance in a handicap parking spot that asks the question, Is that CRH Ambulance Parked in a Handicap Parking Spot?

That's all. Look where the conversation has gone. We don't know why he is there. We don't know if he is parked there. He could be backing into the spot to turn around. He could be there to pick up someone who needs him to go to the hospital.

So many people assume and the conversation grows from there.

It shows one ambulance and all the sudden we're accused of cutting down all ambulance drivers and emt workers.

It's a picture people. Put here for discussion but it makes no statement except there is an ambulance in a handicap parking spot.

People don't like the vague message it presents so they attack the messenger.

Well, they think they are. We posted a picture a reader sent in. And we posted little comment with it.

The rest of this story came from your heads.

We never said it was a legal spot, or the driver was planning to rob Circle K, or he was getting a Polar Pop, or his partner was in taking a leak."

Yet, in his comments on the article, Bob writes:
  • "Parking in that spot wasn't right."
  • "It's a picture of an ambulance in a handicap parking spot with room to park on each side of it. Why did they have to park in the handicap spot? They didn't, but they wanted to and they do whatever they want to do."
  • "Apparently you aren't handicapped waiting in your car for a parking spot while some nimrod goes into the convenience store to get a soda pop.  He had to park in the handicap spot?"
  • "The ambulance driver had to park in the handicap spot to get a polar pop?"

Sounds like Bob is the one assuming and the rest of the story has come from his head.  Does he even read his own comments?

Setting the Record Straight

Bob wrote on columbuzz:
"The staff at the trustee office have been involved in another website that has been railing me and calling me names like child molestor and other sick stuff.  So when the comments about her were posted here, I felt it was only fair to leave them up. If he truly has the pictures, that makes it fact. Rather an irrelevent fact, but since her bunch keeps wanting to throw nasty lies at me, maybe nasty truth about her should come out as well."

Rodney and Briana Ferrenburg have absolutely nothing to do with this blog.  They have sent me information that I have posted here, but it is my decision and mine only on whether it is posted or not.  They can comment like anyone else, but that's it, so Bob has no reason to keep attacking Briana.  Also, I don't work in the trustee office, so Bob has no reason to attack anyone in the office at all.  If he feels the need to attack someone to make him feel better about himself, he can attack me, which he already has on this blog.

Regarding the child molester claims, I personally have never accused Bob of being a child molester.  None of the commenters here have explicitly accused Bob of being a child molester, but have joked about it.  I try not to censor comments as much as possible, but if they bother Bob so much, he can ask me to remove them and I will consider removing them.  He knows my email address.

"I try to live by the golden rule and treat people as I would like them to treat me."

Does anyone actually believe that he lives by this rule after reading his comments here and on his website?  I don't think so.

"Since good people can't get in office because of robotic voters"

Does Bob really think he's one of the good people?

Columbuzz Cronyism?

Could there be cronyism at columbuzz?  Bob Freeman posted a picture of a CRH ambulance allegedly parked in a handicap parking space.  Then in comments on columbuzz, he criticized the ambulance driver and called the driver a nimrod, writing "Apparently you aren't handicapped waiting in your car for a parking spot while some nimrod goes into the convenience store to get a soda pop.".

Then on this blog, Bob wrote "(Stat Ambulance has a) higher certification now than they had. And more freedom to dispense drugs as needed without a doctors permission in an emergency situation.  CRH ambulance staff doesn't have that freedom.  Jason Vest (Vice President of Stat Ambulance) is a friend of mine. He was telling me how this new certification all works."

So Jason Vest of Stat Ambulance is a friend of Bob and Bob posts a picture of a CRH ambulance allegedly parked in a handicap parking space.  Convenient, don't you think?  I'm guessing that if that were a picture of a Stat ambulance parked in a handicap parking space, it would not have been posted.  Is columbuzz using whistle blowing as a cover for Bob to attack his enemies and help his friends?  Good question.

Bob Still in Attack Mode

Bob is attacking EMS workers now, calling them nimrods:  http://columbus1.ath.cx/index.php?news=5088

Is it a good idea to attack both EMS workers and firefighters?  Who's next, policemen, or has he already attacked them and I missed it?

Bob Was Wrong Again and Again

I'm not one to gloat, but I'll make an exception for Bob, since he's such a great guy.  Let's count how many times Bob was wrong about winning the election, shall we?
  1. "This denial is why I will be the next Trustee."
  2. "So after I win in two weeks, I will figure out what is best to do."
  3. "THAT can wait until after I am in office."
  4. "I will find more information on things once I'm in office."
  5. "You best go hide under something solid. Your world is about to fall all around you..."
  6. "I guess we'll see on election day if I am a loser or not. Won't we?"
Gee, Bob, what happened?  You were so sure you would win.  By the way, here's the first excuse Bob used (from the Republic website):

"The percentages of the votes last night were all about the same. How someone campaigned, how much they spent, or how hard they worked didn't matter. The only thing that mattered last night was that people wanted their party to win.  Being in power was more important than how much an official is cheating the taxpayer. So we suffer for 4 more years.  People should be ashamed of what happened last night."

How someone campaigned didn't matter?  Delusional.  Bob should be ashamed of how he ran his campaign.  And of course, Bob insults the voters once again.  I just can't take him seriously as a politician when he constantly insults the voters.  Bob thinks you are all idiots and you should all be ashamed of yourselves.  Way to go Bob, that's a great way to get more votes in your next pointless run for public office.

Top Ten Excuses on Why I Lost the Election From Bob

10. Too busy not reading the usage policy that I selectively enforce on my website.
9.  Was distracted by all of my pen pals on interpals.net.
8.  Unfortunately, the ghosts and the fish are not registered voters so they couldn't vote for me.
7.  Had to take time off from campaigning to attend a remedial math course.
6.  There was a flood and all of my campaign signs along the river floated away.
5.  It was my lame campaign slogan "You can't put out a fire by throwing money on it."
4.  The Columbus "mafia" stuffed the ballot box.
3.  Didn't do enough name calling during my campaign.
2.  Dude's shenanigans on his blog.
1.  The voters are still a bunch of idiots.  I'll make sure to tell them that before I start my next campaign.

Any others you can think of?  Which excuse (one of the ten or one of your own) do you think he'll use first?

Election Results

I believe these results are still unofficial:

VOTES = 11,007
7142  64.89%  Frederick E. Barkes (R)
3865  35.11%  Bob Freeman (D)

From the Republic - Fred Barkes Wins

Columbus Township Trustee Fred Barkes spoke to Republicans at their event tonight, after it was clear he was the winner in his race against Democrat Bob Freeman.

"It hasn't been pretty," Fred Barkes said. "I'll enjoy the win all that much more."

Odd Comment from Jeremy

Strange comment from Jeremy Kirtz on Facebook:

"Don't forget to #VOTE today! It's the only time you can make "change" happen. Go Columbuzz!"

Shouldn't he have said Go Bob Freeman?  I guess I didn't realize an entire website could run for office!

The Case of the Missing Banner

From columbuzz:

"Democrat Pam Sample, candidate for Clay Township Trustee against Republican incumbent Christa Acton, notified me a few minutes ago and said her 3' x 5' banner disappeared that she had set up next to a polling place in Jewell Village.

She said it was posted in the yard of the house next door with permission. It was gone today.
People who fear they will lose an election will do, or have others do, strange things. Someone thinks that removing Pam's banner will make her lose the election. It will not. But her opponent's activity in the position will cause the incumbent to lose.

Signs don't make or break elections. But activities like this do.

I hope they catch whoever took Pam's banner."

Someone alert the FBI!  A banner has gone missing!  Send out an Amber alert! Bob, I think the police have better things to do than to try to track down a banner thief.

Columbuzz is a Mickey Mouse Operation

Definition of Mickey Mouse:  not to be taken seriously; unimportant, petty, useless, incompetent, trivial, worthless

I believe Mickey Mouse operation describes columbuzz perfectly.  The administrators and moderators at columbuzz do many things that legitimate websites would never do:
  • The moderators do not follow the site usage policy.  They claim that the policy does not apply to them and one of the moderators even admitted that he has never read the usage policy.  How can you enforce the usage policy as a moderator when you haven't even read it?
  • The moderators use their site usage policy to intimidate and censor commenters.  They promise anonymity yet they reveal people's identities and IP addresses.  They remove comments that they consider uncivil, but the comments are usually just opinions that the moderators disagree with.
  • They modify articles of those who disagree with them.
  • They no longer allow articles to be published if they disagree with them.
  • They disable the accounts of people who disagree with them.
  • They ban the IP addresses of people who disagree with them.
  • They refuse to remove obvious libelous comments on their website.
  • They examine every comment in a feeble attempt to determine if a commenter is submitting comments using multiple names.
  • They disabled text highlighting and copying on their web pages in an attempt to keep one person from easily quoting their articles.
  • They disabled accessing their site with Firefox in an attempt to deny one person access.
  • Some of the polls on their website only have one choice.
  • Polls are removed when the results are not acceptable to the moderators.
  • Should a whistle blowing website accept advertisements?  What if someone wanted to blow the whistle on one of the advertisers?
They are truly the most hypocritical website moderators I have ever seen.  They demand certain behavior from their users that they do not demand from themselves.

    Another Onion For Bob

would-be politicians who submit Orchids on their own behalf.

    Bob's Latest Article

"But Briana responded with a letter a lot more civil than I expected and she told of the hurt I caused her by saying that. I felt bad because I'm not out to hurt anyone; I simply want people to know the truth."

Sorry Bob, but I don't really believe that you feel bad about it and I don't believe that you simply want people to know the truth.  You simply want to win an election by any means necessary.

"She even asked that I apologize publicly on here since this is where I said it. So I wrote an explanation. I told her I would explain but my apology was private to her, even though she posted it on another blog full of idiots accusing me of evil things that simpy are not true."

Why not post the address to this blog to let the people decide for themselves if I'm an idiot or not.  Because Bob would rather decide for them.

"Then today, Herman Forrester, our staff historian, if we have one, found the posts where it was said.
    It actually went like this:

Jimmer Jones said "You know Rodney cheated on his wife with Brianna and left his wife and 2 children to be with his whore don't you?"

And I said, "Hey Jimmer, unless you have facts, let's don't throw accusations around like that, okay? Do you have facts? Can you prove what you say?"

Herman Forrester said the archives show that I deleted the remarks right after I responded to Jimmer. I didn't think it was right for Jimmer to bring that up. He had no proof and their personal life really has no bearing on this race. "

And we should believe you and Herman why?  And could "Jimmer Jones" really be Herman or Bob?  But Fred Barkes' personal life does have a bearing on the race?  You might be more credible if you had deleted all of "Jimmer Jones" libelous statements on columbuzz.

Bob's Political Ad In The Republic

"Columbuzz is sort of a Watchdog site, to keep local officials honest."

    Who's keeping you honest, Bob?

"I do this not for self gratification, but to help the community."

Sorry, but I don't believe this statement.  If this is true, then why post the information about the unattended personal files on your website?  Why not just notify the shredding business?

    "Dirty politics...Columbus deserves better!"

I totally agree.  So I guess that means Bob is going to shut down columbuzz and withdraw from the election!

    Bob's Letter to Voters

    Bob's Letter to Voters

    My comments about Bob's letter:
    • Why send one to Briana and Rodney Ferrenburg?  Does he really think they will vote for him?
    • His math is still incorrect.  It's 400%, not 500%.  Plus it's not a fair comparison since the salary 25 years ago was based on 20 hours per week, so the actual increase should be 150% with an average raise per year of 3.7%.
    • He's still being deceptive about the trustee's salary increase.  Big surprise.

    Bob Needs Better Advisors

"Most former politicians stay involved and help others to get elected. I have several helping me. And great help they are.  Believe it or not, they have helped me stay calm at times and not go too far with my mouth."

Umm, Bob, you might want to find some better advisors.  Just a thought.

    Ghosts

    http://columbus1.ath.cx/index.php?news=5087

At least the ghosts might vote for Bob since I can't imagine any of the living voting for him.
