I Actually Agree With Bob

Bob wrote on columbuzz:
"You know what? Some people just want to complain. I think we should let our elected officials do what we elected them to do. If we don't like what they do we should vote them out and put the geniuses in that we think can do so much better. Fred Armstrong sure didn't get elected four times on his looks. Someone must think he's doing something right."

I hope he's talking about all elected officials, not just Fred Armstrong.

I agree with Bob as well. The voters of Columbus, in there infinite wisdom, elected our Democrat Mayor and Republican dominated council four times (eight if you count the primaries).

I, for one, am anxious to hear those running for office now tell us how they are going to maintain the momentum Columbus has and make it better, not destroy it.

Bob Freeman said...

I am. Don't get me wrong, we have the right to complain. But I think voting against them is the best way of controlling who's in there and what they do.

I mean, look at the remonstrance on the Commons. What a waste of time and money. People are elected to do the job and there comes a time we need to let them do it.

Brian said...

We have had consensus government in Columbus for 16 years. I would argue against anyone who suggests one party or one ideology has controlled city government...far from it.

Bob said: "What a waste of time and money."

It's not a waste of time and money to exercise one's rights as a citizen.

Does Bob think it was a waste of time and money all of those times he ran for office and failed?

Bob Freeman said...

Good point.

I guess it just seemed lie a clear case they remonstrance was going to fail.

Just as it was clear to me I would win 5 elections.

You're right.

Bob Freeman said...

And no, it's never a waste of time for someone to exercise their rights as a citizen.

Brian said...

I want the opposing viewpoints to be heard, examined and discussed. The people can then look at the discourse before making their decisions.

The remonstrance strongly shows how much this community LIKES the current administration's efforts to keep Columbus growing.

NotDudeNotJeffBarkesNotMerc said...

I agree too, but I do need to ask something. Why is it that when Fred gets elected, it is because he was voted in by the people, but when Barkes and others won, it was because people voted party and not for the candidates?

Bob Freeman said...

I think it was strongly a party line vote this time. Just about every winner was a Republican and they won with around 65% of the vote.

I think the overall election showed that.

Anonymous said...

Hey.................didn't Bob Freeman say he wasn't going to post comments here anymore?

Bob Freeman said...

Yea, I know. I changed my mind.

LOL @ Bob. So, 65% voted Republican, yet almost 90% re-elected Armstrong to his third term...

NotDudeNotJeffBarkesNotMerc said...

Bob, if you were a student of history, and fair, you would surely see that things like that happen to the party in power when things are bad. People were unhappy with George W. in particular and voted Obama and others in. People were upset before that and voted Democrats in Congress and the Senate. Most recently the Republicans are getting some votes back. Nothing is new. People show the party in power they are upset by voting for the opposite party.

Anonymous said...

Bob must be one of those wishy-washies that doesn't stick with his party, or doesn't agree with the overall plan or agenda of his own party.
If you are a member of a party, you should be faithful to it.
If not, join a different party.

NotDudeNotJeffBarkesNotMerc said...

I guess I should say some people vote that way (but seemingly enough to swing the votes). I don't have allegiance to a party as much as to what is right, the candidates themselves, and greater things. I more firmly align to the Republicans as far as many ideals, but they don;t always get it right or even stay dedicated to those ideals themselves.

Bob Freeman said...

I know there are many factions within the Democratic party.

Some believe in all of the ideals, but most believe in most of the ideals, but not all.

I'd guess most parties have this same issue.

We can't all agree on every issue, no matter what party we belong to.

For instance, I'm against abortion. But I'm more against telling a woman she can't have one.

As I recall, Susan Fye's recently announced Democratic opponent in the CC Race is/has been one of the extremely few Digustable Bob supporters, both politically and in his fruitless homeless shelter campaign. Thus it would appear now that Buffoon Bob is already beginning his personal attacks and smear campaign against her on the Columbuzzards roosting site.

Bob Freeman said...

Oh no, it is very personal with Susan. That's why I am asking her to contact me before I reveal what I know.

She and her family screwed over someone in my family a few years ago and she does not need to be on the council unless she clears that up.

I have the police reports and attorney letters to prove what I say.

And yea, Max is a good guy. And he has a heart for the homeless. He hires them at times to help them out.

NotDudeNotJeffBarkesNotMerc said...

I seem to remember your talking about the problem with her in the past, but do not recall the details (although I am starting to remember some little things that may or may not be the same thing.)

Bob Freeman said...

I'm not sure I ever talked about it. I might have bt I don't remember. It involves an accident with her mothers car while her mother was having brain surgery in Indianapolis and her daughters were at her mothers house.

It was just never handled right and she should clear it up.

But whatever I say will be facts backed up with documentation.

Sounds like this has nothing to do with an election, and more to do with a personal vendetta.

Cheap Shot Bob is back in action.

Bob Freeman said...

NDNJBNW, I don't know. I think abortion is horrendous, once there is a beating heart. I cherish living things so much that I don't hnt, or even fish without it being capture and release.

But, I think abortion should be between a woman and her conscience.

I guess I keep thinking that if I was pregnant that it would be my decision and my decision alone. I'm glad I never have to make that decision. I always dreaded the possibilty that a woman I was involved with would decide that without my input.

It's tough issue. It's hard to know what to think.

Anonymous, 'cheated' would have been a better choice of words than 'screwed over.'

Picture this; a girl takes her grandmothers car and smashes a strangers car, runs 90 miles an hour down Marr Rd to her grandmothers house and pulls into the gargae while the victim watches her get ot of the car and go inside the house while the garage door lowers.

The victim has no cell phone so runs home and calls the law.

Nobody answers when the deputy knocks on the door even though he sees them in the house. He says there is nothing he can do.

Victim pays $4000 for damages so his insurance doesn't have to, intending to sue the car owner.

Car owner is having brain surgery at the time of the incident. Car was said to be stolen, damaged, and returned to it's garage while car owners granddaughters are in the house.

Police have history of drugs with grandaughter.

Lawsuit is dropped by attorneys because of threats of malicious prosecution.

Victim eats $4000.

NotDudeNotJeffBarkesNotMerc said...

Bob, thanks for taking time to express your views. I appreciate that you realize that a fetus is a life. I don't see, however, how you can justify a woman having the right to murder. How does abortion differ than a woman deciding she doesn't want to keep an infant, toddler or dependent child anymore due to not wanting to feed and bathe them, their cramping her style or whatever reason?

Anonymous said...

Bob said, "I always dreaded the possibilty that a woman I was involved with would decide that without my input."

Bob always has to override everybody. Police aren't smart, says Bob. Bob knows better.

And what do ALLEGED drugs have to do with it?

You need to shut your fat mouth, Bob.

Active 'Patriot' Groups in the United States in 2009 FROM SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW CENTER

The Intelligence Project identified 512 "Patriot" groups that were active in 2009. Of these groups, 127 were militias, marked with an asterisk, and the remainder includes "common-law" courts, publishers, ministries and citizens' groups. Generally, Patriot groups define themselves as opposed to the "New World Order," engage in groundless conspiracy theorizing, or advocate or adhere to extreme antigovernment doctrines. Listing here does not imply that the groups themselves advocate or engage in violence or other criminal activities, or are racist. The list was compiled from field reports, Patriot publications, the Internet, law enforcement sources and news reports. Groups are identified by the city, county or region where they are located.

THE SWAIMS ARE DANGEROUS AND ARE PROBABLY ON A WATCH LIST. IF KRISTEN BROWN IS SMART, SHE WILL PUT A LOT OF DISTANCE BETWEEN HERSELF, PHIL AND JOE UNLESS SHE IS A MEMBER AS WELL.

MILITIA

Bob Freeman said...

I strongly agree with the second amendment. I feel it was written to stop people from losing their guns.

I feel taking the guns from citizens is the first smart step in any dictators plans to take over a people.

I'm not a gun fan, but I am a fan of our right to own guns. I not only think it is a right, but something we should hold onto more than any other right. It can and is our best way to keep what is ours.

My point earlier was that someone was calling We the People a militia, like it was a bad thing. That tells me they think that anyone that wants to bck society is a radical and in a group that is on a watch list of some sort.

I don't agree. That sounds like when they were accusing everyone that was a bit different of being a communist years ago,and actually ruining their lives.

That was the point I was trying to make.

I guess when I hear the word militia, I automatically think of men playing war games in the woods.

I understand what they're saying but I think there is a difference in We the People and an armed militia.

Spooky!

Brian said...

Spooky, I think there is a Brianna on Columbuzz but it's not me.

Josh Parker said...

Maybe you are the one smoking, Brian.

I posed a question. I never stated that you were anyone other than Brian.

I don't know, and I don't have the facts or proof to determine anything definite, so I won't say YOU ARE JOANNA, or JOANNA IS YOU, or even that YOU ARE BRIAN, because I don't know that either.

As far as I know, Bob Freeman is the only one amongst us who is naive enough, or maybe egotistic enough, to use his real name on the Web.

My real name is not Josh.
It is only an identifier.

Bob Freeman ...............................or am I? said...

Archived data shows that even Bob doesn't always use his real name.

I may be him. (cold chills)

Josh Parker said...

"What does it matter, anyway?", said Brian.

It must matter to you.
You are leading, and engaging in, it's discussion.

I only find the possibility curious.
What's your answer to your own question?

THE SUBJECT HERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN BOB BUT IN THE ABSENCE OF BOB TO TALK TRASH ABOUT, THE BOB-HATERS ARE TURNING ON EACH OTHER. WHAT A FABULOUS TURN OF EVENTS.

Josh Parker said...

I am a "Bob-Hater", but I'm not turning on anyone.

Is Brian turning on someone? I don't see that, either.

And I don't consider Brian a "Bob-Hater".
I think Brian likes Bob.

Also, I talk trash about Bob, when Bob provides the reason.
It has nothing to do with Bob's "absence".

Bob is absent?
I hope you mean he has returned to California.

One last note....I am not turning on you with this comment.
I am only responding to yours.

Get over it."

Since when did Bob Freeman's stories ever have an ending? LMAO

Anonymous said...

I wouldn't say I hate Bob (since he's really not worth the effort), but I do think he's a refried turd and a proven liar.

Comparing Bob "the sky is falling and I have the PROOF" Freeman to any national political figure is analogous to putting a 5th grade kid with 1 inside-the-park homerun (including 2 throwing errors) in the same category as Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle.

Apologies to the hypothetical 5th grader.

@Brian,

Sitting around the campfire singing kumbayah with Bob and the Bob-o-bots is a wasted effort.

Although you're approval of his recent "transformation" is interesting, you are either new to his BS or have been living under an extremely large rock.

You seem like a relatively smart guy, so I won't regurgitate all of his lies and threats (although I would encourage you to read his past comments), but your Jimmy Carter approach is as useless as it is amusing.

Grow up Brian.

Are you an interior designer, with a "fabulous" array of paint splotches and fabrics or are you a homo (not that there's anything wrong with that)?

Caps are also an indication of a major inferiority complex.

"Since when did Bob Freeman's stories ever have an ending? LMAO"

His "stories" end after he accuses someone of something he supposedly "heard", makes up additional lies, posts his own inflammatory comments and after he is proven to be the liar that he is, deletes the story and associated comments.

Merc said...

Those Pros and Cons listed in the comment above are dead nuts.

Also, very true about Bob deleting those stories, but he continues to re-live most or all of them.

The "Shoulda Knocked Her on Her Ass at the Funeral Home Incident" is one of them, along with "Fred Barkes is a Crook Who Defeated Me in the Election Because Voters are Stupid".

@Bob, we're just waiting for you or someone at Columbuzz to say something stupid. It shouldn't be long.

The 2 comments above aren't mine. The comment to Merc about the beating the dead horse was mine....

I wish people would cut the crap of posting under someone else's name. If you are so sure Bob or whoever is bad and wrong, why not let them hang themselves? Why do you have to introduce a bunch of fake crap here that makes us doubt the legitimacy of the things they do post. You've heard of the boy who cried wolf haven't you?

I'll try to make my posts where you'llknow it's me. Of course, I'll have to keep changing it because they will copy. And I will let peopleknow when there is one that I now isn't mine... LOL

You could always "accidentally drop" your laptop out of the window of your truck. Maybe your company would buy you a new one.

Bob Freeman said...

I paid $1100 for it. It's my laptop.

And that wouldn't be right anyway. It just need a good cleaning out.

For the record, I find it very admirable that this site has put something positive in reference to Bob Freeman. That's very balanced of it. Thanks, but do continue to cross examine reports. That is very necessary. Just make sure it is done right and fairly.

It's too bad Bob doesn't really believe what he wrote, IMO.
