• Rodney Ferrenburg was hired first as a mechanic.

• Briana Kestler, a Harrison Twp firefighter was hired second 1.8 years later as a case worker.

• Josh Kestler, a Harrison Twp firefighter was hired 6 months later as a mechanics helper.

• Rodney and Briana were married 4 months later.

• In March 2009 there were 12 applicants for 4 paid firefighters. The top 4 were hired, 2 from Col Twp, one ex sheriff’s deputy and 1 from Brownstown. Josh Ferrenburg was one of them. He will be leaving for the Army in January 2011.
