Bob Freeman Using Tragedy to Attack Trustee and Firemen

http://columbus1.ath.cx/index.php?news=5371

Bob has sunk to a new low.  He is using the tragedy of a teenager drowning to attack the trustee and all county fire departments.  Here are some of his inflammatory statements:

"Lack of planning on your parts caused that boy to die."

Caused that boy to die?

"Flat out negligence on the part of every single fire department in this county."
"Pure negligence is all it is."
"A 16 year old boy is dead now because of negligence."

You are accusing every single fire department in this county of negligent homicide?  I'm sure they already feel horrible about the incident.  You don't need to make things worse.

"I bet you would be hard pressed to find ONE that wouldn't volunteer to take the training.  Oh, Rodney probably wouldn't, but the real firefighters would.  I take that back. Rodney would even train, if it meant another trip for four to Florida."
"I hope you're proud of yourself Fred Barkes. Spending the money on maintenace buildings and radios and cars for staff that you don't need. Spending the money on raises for yourself and family."

Here he is attacking Rodney Ferrenburg and Fred Barkes, which I believe is the real purpose of the article.

Why does Bob rant and rave about something he knows absolutely nothing about?  And Bob neglects to mention that if he were the trustee, the $6000 would not have been spent on training and equipment for cold water rescue.  It would have been spent on poor relief.

I wrote on the last post too, but the lakes are in city limits! How is the Rodney and Fred's fault

This is just Bob's way of crying because he lost an election he said he would win.
We all knew better.

You are absolutely right, Dude. He was set to increase poor relief. He wouldn't have used it for training except maybe AFTER the tragedy. So many liberals do not take any personal accountability and think it is the government's role to throw tons of money at every possible upcoming problem (even if the odds of it happening are slim or it only effects one person). We have become a bunch of whiny, dependent people who are litigious and always blaming someone else.

This guy continues to amaze me. I know I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but I am baffled at how little Bob actually knows and his righteous indignation.

Let me first say that this was a tragic accident and I feel bad for the boy's family and everyone else involved.

I have known the man who risked his own life and saved 2 of the 3 boys that night for more than 20 years and that is how I KNOW the details of what actually happened.

And as usual, Bob's facts are 100% wrong:

"We have firefighters at the stations full time that could get ready on the way, with the right set up."
After 2 different neighbors called 911, there were plenty of emergency personnel on scene within 10 minutes.

"And the boy held onto the boat for a bit. Some have been under frigid water for an hour and have been resuscitated."
The boy did not ever hold on to the boat. All 3 boys were about 12 feet away and a rope was used to pull them from the ice into the boat. The boy that died was simply too cold and weak and could not hold onto the rope after being in the water for a few minutes.

"For two hours, people had to wait for someone to come and get a boy out of a frozen lake. Two hours."
No one was waiting on anything - certainly not 2 hours.

"And if the results were the same, it wouldn't be because people had to stand around doing nothing because we didn't prepare properly."
Tell that to the man that saved 2 of the 3 boys and the emergency personnel who were onsite. Bob, you are a joke and wouldn't risk your life for anyone - plus what are you pushing, about 400lbs?

"Pure negligence is all it is. And you want to attack me. A 16 year old boy is dead now because of negligence."
This was an accident and although this is probably not going to be popular, the only people who were negligent were the boy and his grandmother.

Unless there would have happened to be trained ice rescue personnel living next door (with gear) on the lake, nothing else could have been done. And again, if not for the hero and local emergency services, there would be 3 dead. The entire rescue event was over in about 15 minutes.

Bob, you really are a disgusting moron and a world class idiot. Not only are you ignorant and uninformed, but you are stupid and will say absolutely anything without regard for anyone else, even a dead 16 year old boy.

Every time you open your mouth, you provide further evidence of why you will never be in any position of authority and will never be respected.
